Upon the battlefields of the world, possession of the high ground is strategic and often, the most important ground to maintain. For certain battles of the past, this high ground was preserved at all costs. The order was given to the men: “This is a hill we will die on.”

As a church, we have sought to define what our core values are and what is truly non-negotiable for us. There are many ways to “to do church”, so methods and styles aside, we seek to establish what is core to our faith and practice. What would we never be willing to do without? What is “a hill” we will seek to maintain at all costs?

  • Prayer declares our dependency upon God. We will always have need of Him.

He is our Source of life. (John 15:5, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

Prayer is essential to our lives as individuals and as a church family.

“Prayer is the mightiest agent to advance God’s work.” E.M. Bounds“I would rather teach one man to pray than ten men to preach.” Charles Spurgeon

  • God’s Word, the Bible is alive and powerful. (Hebrews 4:12).

We willingly submit our hearts to the truth of God’s Word. (Psalm 119:33-35)

We accept God’s Word as inerrant and essential for our lives to be built upon. (Matthew 7:24-27)

Popular culture, trends, opinions, political correctness – all come and go, but God’s Word is established forever. (1 Peter 1: 21-25)

  • Integrity in all we say and do. (Philippians 3:17-19)

    Honesty and transparency.

Walking in the light. (1 John 1:7)

Being in reality what we appear to be.

Our walk must line up with our talk. (1 Timothy 1:5)

We are not yet perfected, but we must be genuine.

  • We love His presence and we require His power.

We work with Him and He in turn, works through us. (2 Corinthians 6:1)

We cannot do or be all God calls us to without the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:49)

“Trying to do the Lord’s work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.” - Corrie Ten Boom

  • The vision of the church worldwide is to win the lost to Christ and make disciples as He commanded. We don't choose the mission, rather ours is to obey the commission. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Therefore, our vision statement is:

We exist to turn non-Christians into totally committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

At Imagine Nations Church we consider bringing the lost to Christ, both home and abroad and helping others to become committed followers – disciples of Jesus Christ, our most important priorities.
